INNOVATE
Process

Discovery, Strategy,
Build, Ship, Scale.

Five phases. Documented decisions. Weekly visibility. No black-box sprints, no surprise pivots, no abandoned launches.

01

1–2 weeks

Discovery

We ask the questions no one else asks. Business model, technical constraints, team capabilities, real deadlines. We read the documentation you haven't written yet.

Artifacts you receive

  • Stakeholder interview notes
  • Business model canvas
  • Technical constraint inventory
  • Existing-system audit report
  • Project glossary

Outcomes

  • Clear definition of done
  • Documented assumptions
  • Identified risks and unknowns
  • Calibrated scope vs. budget vs. timeline

02

1–3 weeks

Strategy

Architecture decisions made before a single line of code. Stack selection, deployment model, third-party dependencies — documented, debated, decided.

Artifacts you receive

  • System architecture diagram
  • Stack decision record
  • Data model and API contract sketch
  • Deployment topology
  • Security & compliance plan

Outcomes

  • Stack and architecture chosen and justified
  • Third-party dependencies vetted
  • Roadmap with weekly milestones
  • Cost projections (cloud + tooling)

03

Ongoing — weekly cycles

Build

Iterative, with weekly demos. No black-box sprints. You see working software every week or we're not doing it right.

Artifacts you receive

  • Working software in a staging environment, every week
  • Pull requests with code review notes
  • Automated test suites
  • Internal documentation (ADRs, READMEs)
  • Demo recordings

Outcomes

  • Visible weekly progress
  • Continuous integration on every commit
  • Test coverage above 80% on critical paths
  • No mystery sprints

04

1 week per major release

Ship

Zero-downtime deployments with rollback capability. Every release is tested, monitored, and documented. We don't disappear after launch.

Artifacts you receive

  • Release notes
  • Deployment runbook
  • Rollback procedure
  • Monitoring dashboards
  • On-call escalation plan

Outcomes

  • Zero-downtime cutover
  • Documented incident response
  • Verified rollback capability
  • Production observability from day one

05

Ongoing — monthly cadence

Scale

Growth creates new problems. We stay engaged — performance tuning, infrastructure scaling, feature iteration. The relationship doesn't end at launch.

Artifacts you receive

  • Performance reports
  • Cost optimization analysis
  • Capacity planning models
  • Quarterly architecture reviews
  • Iteration backlog

Outcomes

  • p95 and p99 latency tracked and improved
  • Infrastructure cost trending down per request
  • Roadmap fed by real usage data
  • Long-term partnership, not handover
FAQ

Common questions

How long does a typical engagement take?+
Discovery and Strategy together take two to four weeks. Build duration depends on scope — most production-grade SaaS or platform projects ship a first release in 8 to 16 weeks. Scale is ongoing.
Do you sign NDAs?+
Yes, when needed. We do not require NDAs on the first call to discuss whether a project is a fit. For technical architecture deep-dives or proprietary domain details we will gladly sign a mutual NDA before sharing.
Do you work fixed-price or time-and-materials?+
Both, depending on the project. Fixed-price suits well-scoped MVPs and migrations with clear acceptance criteria. Time-and-materials suits open-ended platform work where the destination evolves. We discuss the trade-offs honestly during Discovery.
What happens after Ship?+
We stay engaged. Most clients keep us on a maintenance retainer covering monitoring, incident response, performance tuning, and feature iteration. We are not a build-and-disappear shop.
Can you take over an existing codebase?+
Often, yes. We start with a 1–2 week audit covering architecture, dependencies, test coverage, security posture, and deployment maturity. Based on that we propose a migration or stabilization plan.
