04Logistics

Logistics software that ships the freight and the paperwork.

We build transport management systems, customs brokerage platforms, document-AI pipelines, and the operational tooling that 3PLs, freight forwarders, and last-mile operators run their businesses on. Multilingual, multi-jurisdiction, designed by people who have spent days on actual ops floors.

Who this is for

Mid-market and enterprise logistics operators — freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs and 4PLs, last-mile fleets, port and terminal operators, and supply-chain visibility platforms — that need software vendors who understand both the engineering and the operational reality.

What we solve

Logistics is the industry where everyone has the wrong data at the wrong time. We build the systems that turn paperwork-bound, exception-driven workflows into instrumented, AI-augmented operations the team actually trusts.

Logistics software is hard because the real world keeps interrupting it — customs holds, weather delays, missing paperwork, regulator changes, port congestion. Good logistics software is built around the assumption that the happy path is the rare path. Most of the value is in how exceptions are handled.

Compliance & realities

What we design around — not bolt on.

Operational and regulatory realities specific to moving freight across borders. The compliance posture varies more by jurisdiction than in most industries — we design for that explicitly.

Customs & trade regulations

HS code accuracy, country-of-origin handling, pre-arrival declarations (ENS/ICS for the EU, ISF/AMS for the US), and the audit infrastructure customs auditors expect to see when they ask.

Multi-jurisdiction data residency

Freight crosses borders, but customer data should not always follow. We design platforms with explicit data-residency rules — EU data in the EU plane, customer data routed by classification — that survive enterprise customer review.

GDPR & driver/employee data

Logistics platforms hold sensitive data on drivers, dispatchers, and customers. GDPR-compliant data handling, retention policies enforced at the storage level, and the data-subject-request automation needed to handle the volume.

EDI / EDIFACT / X12

Carrier and forwarder integrations that still run on EDI. We support EDIFACT (D.96A and later), X12, and modern API equivalents in parallel, with reliable translation and audit trails between them.

ISO 27001 / SOC 2

Enterprise shippers (especially in regulated industries — pharma, defense, automotive) increasingly require these. We design infrastructure so the certification process is paperwork-driven, not architecture-driven.

Carrier and platform integrations

Direct integrations with carrier APIs (Maersk, MSC, Hapag-Lloyd for ocean; major airlines for air; trucking integrators for road) and platform integrations (project44, FourKites) where customers expect them.

What we build

The systems we ship most often in Logistics.

01

Transport management systems (TMS)

Order management, dispatch, route planning, document generation, billing, and the customer-facing portals that 3PLs need to differentiate. Built to integrate, not replace, customer ERP systems.

02

Customs brokerage platforms

Pre-arrival declaration workflows, HS code automation, broker-customer collaboration tools, and the audit infrastructure customs authorities require.

03

Document AI pipelines

Vision OCR plus LLM extraction plus RAG over historical filings — the system that takes 800+ multilingual shipping documents per day and turns them into structured data with sub-1% error rates. See our logistics AI case study.

04

Last-mile & driver platforms

Driver mobile apps, dispatch consoles, route optimization, proof-of-delivery, and the customer-tracking experiences that retail consignees expect today.

05

Visibility & tracking platforms

Multi-modal shipment tracking, ETA prediction, carrier integration aggregation, and the customer-facing dashboards that turn 'where is my container' into a question with an instant answer.

06

Operations & exception consoles

The unglamorous but critical software that ops teams actually live in — task queues, exception triage, customer communication, and the kind of UX that makes a busy dispatcher 30% faster.

Document AI & automation

Vision OCR, LLM-based field extraction, RAG over historical filings, human-in-the-loop review consoles, and confidence-aware routing. The pattern that turns ops floors into review queues.

Integration & EDI

FAQ

Common questions in Logistics

Do you build TMS from scratch, or integrate with existing ones?+
Both, depending on the situation. For 3PLs and forwarders with strong domain differentiation, custom TMS often wins because off-the-shelf systems force the operation into a workflow that does not match how the team actually sells. For commodity freight, integration with established platforms (or extending them with custom modules) is usually right. We will tell you honestly during discovery which one fits your situation.
How do you handle multilingual document processing?+
Modern LLMs handle multilingual extraction surprisingly well. We have shipped pipelines processing English, Georgian, Russian, Turkish, German, French, Polish, and Chinese (simplified) documents in the same workflow, using the same models. The interesting engineering is around language detection, fallback chains, and quality scoring per language — not around language-specific models.
Can you integrate with our customs broker / our carrier APIs?+
Yes. Customs broker integrations (and the regional declaration formats — ENS/ICS for the EU, ISF/AMS for the US, ICS2, etc.) are routine for us. Carrier API integrations across major ocean carriers, airlines, and road platforms are routine. Where a partner only has EDI, we run EDI; where they have modern APIs, we use them; where they have both, we pick the one with better data quality.
Will the document AI replace our ops team?+
It will replace most of the manual transcription, but the work that remains — exception handling, customer communication, edge-case judgement — usually expands to fill the time freed up. In our largest logistics AI engagement (the one we publish anonymously), nobody lost their job; the ops team transitioned into customer success and exception handling, which the company had needed to staff anyway.
How long does a typical TMS engagement take?+
Greenfield TMS builds run 9–18 months. TMS modernizations or extensions of existing systems run 4–9 months. Document AI pipelines reach production in 4–8 months and continue to improve over time as the retrieval layer learns from real-world corrections.
Do you support EDI?+
Yes. We support EDIFACT (D.96A and later versions), X12, and the various derivative formats partners use. We will not push you off EDI if your partner ecosystem still requires it — we will support it and modernize the surrounding workflow so the EDI is a thin translation layer instead of a structural constraint.
